Google started off Black History Month, February 2026, with a J Dilla, Detroit-inspired Google Doodle that highlighted the art of beat making and a beat by Dilla's brother John Yancey, Illa J.

For Dilla's birthday, February 7th, they honored the producer with animated clip with the track "Waves," and donuts confetti that appeared when Google users searched J Dilla.
